How do you toast/roast walnuts?

Simply preheat your oven to 180°C (gas mark 4), arrange your walnuts on a baking sheet in a single layer, and pop in the oven for 8-10 minutes, checking frequently.  Try adding some spices, chilli flakes or soy sauce for a change or even a little drizzle of honey for a sweet treat – perfect as an on-the-go snack!
