The Power of Omega-3!

This month, we’re celebrating the fourth annual “Power of 3” global campaign which raises awareness of the health benefits associated with omega-3 alpha-linoleic acid (ALA) – an essential fatty acid that the body can’t produce on its own, but that walnuts are full of.

The campaign runs throughout March, with people across the world being encouraged people to include a handful of walnuts in their daily lives – either as a snack or making the most of its versatility through use in sweet and savoury dishes.

In the UK we’re excited to have partnered with chef and presenter Clodagh McKenna, as well as professional baker and presenter Juliet Sear and Registered Dietitian Nichola Ludlam-Raine who are joining the celebrations and sharing their favourite ways to use California Walnuts.

The two brand new, delicious recipes Clodagh and Juliet have created can be found below – including a vegan bread, and an exciting idea for using those bits of broken lasagne in the box!
